Once active parents and students have access to selected courses, content, immediately graded assignments, optional assignments for parents to choose from and staff who are available to support our homeschool families.
Courses are available online 24/7 from anywhere in the world and parents/students can purchase 6-12th Grade level bundles or individual courses any time during the school year, this includes CTE content. Dual enrollment classes start and end on the University of Pittsburg schedule.
6-12th grade courses and CTE Courses are individual semester licenses and expire at the end of that time. Home school families and students can work at their own pace within that time and schedules can be adjusted to fit your homeschool families needs. Please feel free to discuss this with us further during your consultation.
What about state testing?
TrueNorth Christian Academy offers Home School families access to the same leading educational tools as large districts. As well as support accessing online content and 21st century skills.
Please check with your local district to see if any reporting and/or state testing is necessary as they should be able to advise on your local home education requirements.
What is the parent expected to do?
Parents are expected to ensure their local home education requirements are being met. As students are working virtually parents should supervise the students learning, progress in each course, and attendance.
What we do?
Parents can expect support from us during set up of courses. As well as support from us if they have questions when getting started or while working through content. For 6th-12 courses including CTE course, many items are automatically graded and there are some optional assignments for parents to complete at home with students as well.
